Tenor HENRY NGAN graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (BMus) and Royal Northern College of Music (MMus); then furthered his study with Dennis O’Neill CBE at Wales International Academy of Voice (MA in Advanced Vocal Studies), supported by Muses Foundation for Culture & Education.

A Dunraven Welsh Young Singer of the Year 2019, Henry received numerous scholarships during studies: RNCM Scholarship Award, Sir Robert Black Trust Fund, Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir Scholarship, Hong Kong Children’s Choir Scholarship and Michael Rippon Memorial Scholarship (Bel Canto training in Firenze, Italy). Frequently won in the Hong Kong School Music Festival, he was the Overall Champion in Hong Kong Youth Singing Festival with “Ella Kiang Trophy” and Scholarship.

Performed across the UK, Europe, Russia and Hong Kong. Operatic Roles included Don Jose & Remendado in Carmen, Tamino & Monostatos in Die Zauberflöte, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, Goro & Yamadori in Madama Butterfly, Spoletta in Tosca, Parpignol in La Boheme, Arturo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Ruiz in Il trovatore, Camille in The Merry Widow, Master Siu in Legend of Zhang Baozai, Body Guard in Dr. Sun Yat Sen [World premier]; Calaf in Turandot, Hoffmann in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Idomeneo in Idomeneo and Duca in Rigoletto in Opera Excerpts; also covered Rodolfo in La Boheme and Macduff in Macbeth.
