The summer programme inspired students to explore and cultivate their interest in opera. By joining the training course on acting, dancing and music provided by our professional coaches for the timeless story, the participating youngsters developed their potentials and creativity in art-making. The programme also fostered team spirit, self-esteem and other worthy attributes during the course of learning and rehearsals.

The Lunch Extravaganza was an enormous success. Over 300 guests attended the exquisite performance of parents, talented students and our young artists to render an abridged version of the fairy tale opera. Among those lovely young actors, five of them received scholarship sponsored by the United Overseas Bank.  Ada Pong, first runner-up of the Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2015, was also invited as a guest performer and became one of the highlights of the Extravaganza.  The event raised much-needed resources to support the development of Opera Hong Kong.
